Several travelling routes are available, giving a choice of driving times and ferry crossings, which are most suitable for you.  Please see below.   Irish visitors can benefit from the Irish Ferries service, offering a couple of routes including Rosslare to Cherbourg - drive time to the lake approx. 3hrs 20mins.  Visit  www.Irishferries.com for more information.  The Brittany ferries service from Ireland, sails from Cork to Roscoff - drive time to the lake, approx. 4hrs 40mins. See the Brittany ferries uk information below. 

TOUROUVRE is approximately 135kms from Paris, 80kms from Le Mans - home of the famous ’24 hour Le Mans’, and 120kms from Caen & Rouen.

DOVER – CALAIS. Served by P&O Ferries and Sea France. Crossing time 1hr 30mins.

FOLKESTONE - CALAIS. Served by Eurotunnel. Drive time from Calais to the lake, approx. 3hrs 40mins.

DOVER - BOULOGNE SUR MER. Served by Speedferries. Crossing time 50mins. Drive time to the lake approx. 3hrs 22mins.

DOVER - DUNKERQUE.  Served by Norfolkline.  Crossing time 1hr 45mins.  Direct links to A16 & M25 motorways.  Although there is a driving time of approx. 4hrs 30mins to the lake, this crossing offers a tempting holiday bonus!  Some of our guests use this route to visit nearby Belgium to stock up on bargain cigarettes and alcohol.

NEWHAVEN - DIEPPE. Served by Transmanche Ferries and LD Lines. Cruise time 4hrs. Drive time to the lake approx. 2hrs 24mins.   New routes added for 2009, including - Dover to Dieppe, and Dover - Bologne.

PORTSMOUTH - CAEN. Served by Brittany Ferries. Classic cruise 5hrs 45 mins. Overnight cruise 7hrs. High Speed Normandy Express 3hrs 45 mins. Drive time to the lake approx. 1hr 50mins.

PORTSMOUTH – LE HAVRE. Served by Transmanche Ferries and LD Lines. Cruise time 5/7hrs, dependant on a day or night crossing. Drive time to the lake approx. 2hrs.  Served by LD Lines -  High speed catamaran - crossing time 3hrs 15mins.

PORTSMOUTH – CHERBOURG. Served by Brittany Ferries. High Speed Normandy Express 3 hrs.

POOLE – CHERBOURG. Served by Brittany Ferries. High speed crossing 2hrs 15mins. Classic cruise - daytime, 4hrs 30mins. Classic cruise - overnight, 6 hrs. Drive time from Cherbourg to the lake, approx. 3 hrs 22mins..

We are located approximately 5 minutes drive from TOUROUVRE. Upon exiting the N12 in France, bare left, following signs for LES CROIX CHEMINS.   LA FONTE is soon signposted, leading you directly to the lake.
