Welcome To La Fonte!

A big ˜Hello to all“ especially all of those who have already enjoyed a fishing holiday at La Fonte. Following La Fonte's brilliant first year of 2006, the popularity of the venue has gone from strength to strength, with guests booking 2 or 3 trips per year, in their excitement to return. We look forward to meeting lots of new visitors to La Fonte next year, 2012, most of which, are bookings that have been made, following recommendations. As you can see from the site, there is a lot to let you know about, and hopefully, has covered most things of interest to you, when planning your fishing holiday!

‘Au Revoir’ from John & Alison.
Following the creation of the hugely successful La Fonte Carp fishing venue; after five successful and enjoyable years, John and Alison have now taken the decision to leave France, and take up our new position as ‘full time Grandparents’! Since our opening in 2006, La Fonte has gone from strength to strength, and has constantly maintained its invaluable reputation, reflected in the high level of re-bookings, recommendations; and never having had to advertise. Although our departure is tinged with some sadness, we are confident that the new owner will continue to provide the fishing holiday experience that the serious Carp angler has come to discover at La Fonte.
We would like to thank all our past guests, and those who are still awaiting their first La Fonte experience, for their custom and friendship. We wish you all well in your ‘Carp quest’, and will continue to share with you the strong passion for this great sport. The new owner is Mr Philippe Blime, and he will become the owner of the property as from 24 December 2011. We are happy to have found someone who has experience in the fishing industry. Former owner and President of Mitchell rods and reels, Mr Blime lives just a few miles from the lake. He was born in New York, studied in California, and speaks fluent English. He will be seconded by Joanne Beeker, a Dutch native, who also speaks very good English. She lives next door to the lake, and will greet you upon arrival, and prepare any meals that you may have ordered. The new owner is very appreciative of the work that we have done in creating such a great fishing venue, and we are confident that he will continue to provide the same quality of service for which La Fonte is renowned.
